Meyer Prep Launches Junior Kindergarten

We are thrilled to announce that Meyer Preparatory School is expanding! Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, Meyer Prep is pleased to launch a Junior Kindergarten program.

Students who are developmentally ready for a more advanced learning environment, and are younger than traditional kindergarten age, will now have the opportunity to be part of our outstanding JK - 8 Jewish day school. The focus of our Junior Kindergarten is to cultivate socio-emotional and academic growth through discovery and wonderment, while remaining anchored in Jewish values and tradition.

Meyer Prep’s Junior Kindergarten program will feature foundations for the emergent reader, age-appropriate techniques to build number sense and mathematical thinking, and hands-on innovation and STEAM activities. Meyer Prep’s teaching principles of inquiry-based learning through creativity and discovery will permeate all aspects of learning. Play is an essential part of a Meyer Prep Junior Kindergartener’s experience. Students will experiment, create, negotiate, develop friendships and collaborate throughout the school day while learning in an all-new ergonomically designed classroom environment. Meyer Prep’s Jr. K program will be taught by teachers with advanced college degrees who are certified in elementary education.

This is a major step forward for our school whose benefits will resonate out into the greater Palm Beach Jewish community. Meyer Prep extends gratitude to our School Board, professional leadership, and community partners for their efforts to bring the new Junior Kindergarten to fruition.
